Christmas craziness

Yesterday was so much fun, but I admit that in the end it was a little overwhelming. Here are some photos from our day. You can see all the packages that Santa left under our little Christmas tree. I had tons of fun unwrapping gifts - I couldn't open them fast enough! I even did a little shoveling at Nana and Pop's house again. After a long day I was pretty tired, but I still held on to my new favorite helicopter toy.

I've been dying to shovel some snow and yesterday my dad gave me a little lesson at Nana and Pop's house.

I think this snow would look really good right over here by the car. What do you think dad? I'm a pretty big help aren't I!

The Bruins lost, but my friend Paul and I sure had a lot of fun! Pizza, popcorn, fights on the ice. What a great afternoon.

Hey Cuz!

The other night I had a great visit with my cousin Jack (we'll skip the tricky genealogy terms and stick with "cousin"). He's pretty cool for a little kid his age. I was most impressed by the Lego train that ran around the base of the Christmas tree. And I was trying to show Jack the right way to play with his other toy train, but he mainly wanted to chew on it. Crazy kid!

Christmas in the Park

Here are some photos from yesterday afternoon in San Jose. I was having a ton of fun and wanted another ride on the carousel but timing was running out on the parking meter. Do you think I cared about that? Of course not, but my parents wouldn't listen no matter how hard I cried. I'm so deprived.

The Humiliation Resumes

I've been sick for a couple of days, but now that I'm feeling better my mom thought it was time to resume posing me for silly photos.
She even made me say "Ho Ho Ho! Merry Christmas."
But actually, considering how much I dig Santa Claus this isn't terrible. I guess my smile kind of betrays how I really feel about being put in costume. But I only cooperated for a few minutes.

I'm having more fun

Grandma and my parents were off doing tours of some big castle, but this was way more fun. Wild animals beat fancy art and old furniture in my book any day!

More cookies

Okay, you all know how much I dig cookies these days. But I did not know that there were cookies that you decorated with tasty sugary frosting!
See how much fun we are having? And when my parents aren't looking I'm busy trying to sneak cookies (hee hee!).

Forecast: Cold and Snowy

Don't worry folks. We aren't experiencing any weird winter weather here in California. Actually it's quite nice these days. But I hear they had the first bit of snow in Boston today. I decided to make sure that my winter gear was all in order for our visit next month.
Last year's coat and hat still fit just fine (my mom is thrilled about that).
I did need a new pair of winter boots though. We found a pretty decent pair at Target today. Now I'm ready for snowman weather!!

Cookie Monster

My Grandma Mary came into town the other day. And guess what that means... COOKIES!!! Yes, first thing in the morning I helped her bake a batch of chocolate chip cookies. They were AWESOME!
As you can see, I patiently waited while the cookies baked. I hear that good things come to those kids who wait.

So Much To Discover

This morning my mom took me to the Children's Discovery Museum of San Jose. This place was pretty cool. It was almost too much fun for one little kid. There was a big firetruck to climb on, an ambulance, a stagecoach, a whole room of water fountains, bubbles, and the very special "Clifford The Big Red Dog" exhibit which was AWESOME! Look at the pictures to see all the fun I had!

"ET phone home"

Well, "Robby iChat/Skype with London" is more accurate, but I hear that E.T. was one of Aunt Whitney's favorite movies as a kid so I had to use the film reference. In case you can't see, it's Aunt Whitney that I'm chatting with. See you soon Aunt Whit!!

Choo-choo addicts anonymous

No we aren't changing the title of this site to "Robby's train blog." But we are starting to wonder if there is a 12 step program available...


And no, that isn't Yoda helping Robby out. It's one of our favorite children's books characters Skippyjon Jones (the Siamese cat who thinks he's a Chihuahua superhero). Check the books out sometime. We think they are hilarious.

I had a little discussion with Santa this weekend and I think he agrees that I register on the "nice" end of the behavior spectrum.

More trains

Today was my dad's birthday. Happy Birthday Daddy! Can you believe that as a special treat he decided we should go visit Roaring Camp to go on a special train ride? Honest, it was his idea and there was no influence from me. We got there a little early but there was plenty of cool stuff to check out. The train ride went up a mountain through a Redwood grove and we saw some pretty big trees. And there was a old burned trestle, switchbacks, all sorts of cool stuff! I think dad had a pretty good time. And me? Of course I enjoyed myself.

A day on the train

Today was very exciting. I got to go on my first real train ride! Not the T like in Boston, or a Cable Car, but a REAL TRAIN!! Do I look a little excited?
The trip lasted about 45 minutes and I enjoyed every second. We got off in a town called Burlingame and shopped around a bit. We also stopped to have lunch and I had a delicious quesadilla.
Soon enough it was time to wait for the train to take us back home. Here I am waiting ever so patiently.
What could possibly be better than reading "Thomas the Tank Engine" on a real train? This is the best!
Bye, bye train! Thanks for the trip. I had so much fun and I can't wait until next time (hint hint).

"ROAR!!!" (did I scare you?)

Happy Halloween! Do you like my tiger costume? I've been practicing my scary "roar" for weeks.

Today I had tons of fun at my preschool where they had a special "enchanted house." I collected all sorts of goodies. Afterwards my parents took me out to a nice little lunch and then we went trick-or-treating downtown where the stores had some candy to hand out.

I was actually so worn out by this afternoon's festivities that I skipped trick-or-treating tonight. Can't have too much of a good thing. Actually I just didn't want to put my costume back on.

WORLD CHAMPS!!

WAHOO! The Red Sox swept the Rockies and I got to stay up to see it happen!!! Even though I hear they won a few years ago my parents still have a strong sense of respect for how special this is. Ten years from now, if I found out that they had sent me to bed in the 8th inning I would have been mad!

Good job guys. What an exciting game! Now it is time for bed I suppose.

Maturing - ever so slightly

My mother is a brave woman. She took me to get a haircut today all by herself. She would have preferred to wait until my dad is home from his latest business trip, but apparently my hair was getting to an unruly length. As you may recall I've been a little "over dramatic" about haircuts in the past, but today I was much more calm. I expressed my displeasure, but there were no tears or screaming. How mature of me!

Another milestone

Attention everyone. I would like to announce that my teething days are finally over. My mom discovered today that I now have a complete set of baby teeth (my last molars snuck in a little while ago). TA DA!

So that is one excuse officially off the list any time I'm crabby or I wake up in the middle of the night.

Here we are at the Pumpkin Patch looking for three perfect specimens. I've got the wagon so let's go see what we can find.

Ug, this is getting pretty heavy. I think it is time to check out and go home. Oh wait, Daddy says there is one more pumpkin he wants to put in the wagon.

I heard mom say something about it being "bath night." Well I have a different idea of how I want to spend my evening so I think I'll just bury myself here and hide on the couch. No way she'll see me.
