Masterpiece

As you know from my previous post, I spent a good amount of time playing in the sand this weekend at the playground. Want to see a sample of what I built?

HA HA! Just kidding. Did I fool you? These are some of my mom's photos of the ruins at Ephesus that she took years ago while on vacation in Turkey. Are you kidding, I wouldn't have been able to build something like that before nap time!

Sandman

Dad said that if this were a lawnmower then he'd be putting me to work grooming the backyard.
But really, at my age I just need to focus on playing. My job is to make messes - not clean them up!

Too much of a good thing?

I hear that watermelon (my current favorite food) is seasonal. So I'm trying to eat as much of it as I possibly can.

Afternoon of fun

Mommy and I had a great afternoon at the park today. I played in the sprinkers a lot. Sure the water was cold, but it was a nice way to cool off. And they have some pretty cool toys to play with at the playground. I got pretty dirty too (another reason mom wanted me to play in the water.
My dad said that this is a good three-point stance and that I'm learning just in time for football season. Mom says it looks like the yoga pose "downward facing dog" to her. Everyone has their own interpretation I guess.

Sorry, can't stay to chat... there is more fun to be had! Bye!

YUM!

Ice cream cone, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways...

FORE!

Grandma Mary took me on my first golf outing while I was in Michigan! My mom was out visiting friends so she couldn't say anything absurd like "No, you're too young for golf!"

Happy Birthday Mom!

Hi Mom, I hope you have a wonderful birthday. I'm trying really hard to be the best little boy possible (and daddy guaranteed you a diaper-free day!). And no, this isn't birthday cake on my face. Not yet anyway.

History Repeats Itself

Okay, so I got a little sloppy with my first ice cream cone, but I don't think that I got nearly as messy as my mommy did when she was my age.... see below...

Nirvana

This is a perfect afternoon - eating my very own ice cream cone and running around the back deck naked!

Wild Child!

Yesterday we went out to visit family out on Gun Lake. And I got my very first Jet Ski ride!! Unfortunately I'm a little too young to do the driving myself (my mom and grandma took me). And obviously I wore a lifejacket. These pictures are just me playing around beforehand.
And after all the excitement of the Jet Ski ride, I just hung out and drifted in my little floaty thing. But the water was shallow enough that I could stand if I wanted to. And earlier I had dunked my whole head underneath - TWICE! I didn't cry at all!

Wedding Crasher

Yesterday we went to Aubrey's wedding. She's technically my first-cousin-once-removed, but to keep it simple we'll just call her my cousin. We had a great time and here are some photos...

You might think this is an "After" shot, but really this was a picture taken at the beginning of the recpetion. I hadn't taken an afternoon nap, and I needed to rest up a bit so that I could party!

Here I am dancing with my pretty mommy.

And here I am cutting a rug with my cool Grandma Mary and my second cousin, Cooper. We had a blast and they actually had to ask us to leave the dance floor so that the bride and groom could do their first dance.

Here I am before heading to the wedding. Don't I look dapper in my seersucker jacket?

And here I am stealing the attention of the beautiful bride! Thanks for inviting me. I had the best time ever!!

Home Sweet Home

What more could a little boy ask for? A cardboard box all of his own! Okay, maybe a puppy would be nice. And some ice cream. And maybe a some bluberries.
