What a mess

Hmm, feeding myself is lots of fun! But I wonder why mom says I need a bath every night before bed.

A perfect 10!

Today I turn the ripe old age of 10 months! So much has gone on the past few weeks that this kind of snuck up on me. I went on vacation, I'm way better at crawling, and we can't forget all of that teething nonsense. I would say that I've had a pretty amazing month. And I'm so much more grown up than I was at 9 months.
We didn't do anything too exciting today. Mom and I had a little disagreement about whether I needed an afternoon nap and if I'm still too young to be playing with the DVD player. Mom won on both counts... I think she has an unfair advantage since she can pick me up and carry me around. Oh well, for now I'm stuck going along with the old adage that she "knows best."
Anyway, I should give mom some peace and quiet... she only has a couple of months left to plan my big birthday party. I guess I should be on good behavior if that is coming up. Also I should work on some subliminal messages so that mom and dad plan this right (hire a pony, magician and clown; lots of cake and ice cream; I want a puppy; a swimming pool in the backyard would be nice).

Home again

Well, we are back home. It was so neat to go on vacation but it is nice to be home. I think the cats really missed us... and I missed them!

Lots is going on these days. Mommy and I started a new class today called "Sign and Sing." We are supposed to learn some basic baby sign language. If I remember correctly this is the sign for "momma I want a cookie please" ? I'm a fast learner!

Meanwhile, my new friend Elmo and I will just continue our ride on my gigantic snail.

Vacation photos

Here I am swimming with my mom and dad. Good thing I took those lessons earlier this year.

I didn't swim in the ocean because the waves were way too big, but I did dip my toes in.

Ah, here I am catching some rays. I had to be bribed with Cheerios to keep these sunglasses on.

Holy chihuahua! That's the biggest bottle I've ever seen!!

And this is an awfully big beach toy! Just kidding. We saw all sorts of heavy duty equipment moving along the beach. I guess they are still hard at work rebuilding from Hurricane Wilma.

Eventually I had to say "Adios" to Cancun. Hopefully I'll be back again someday...

Cerveza

What's better than a cool beer to quench your thirst during a hot day at the beach? Okay, I guess maybe a bottle of formula will do since mom insists that I'm still to young to drink even in Mexico.

Hola!

Greetings from sunny Cancun! So far I am having lots of fun... sitting in the sun eating Cheerios, hanging out with my grandma and my aunt, and trying to sneak a sip of my mom's mango daquiri! I think I could get into all sorts of trouble here.

I will ask my mom to post some more pictures throughout the week. But we only have a dial-up connection here so things take extra long. And sorry, but we don't really want to spend all day waiting for photos to upload. There is sand to play with, a pool to swim in and lots of sun to soak up. Don't worry, mom is covering me with SPF 50.

Piggyback

My mom and dad got this cool new backpack that allows them to carry me along everywhere. Maybe it will come in handy while we are on vacation. But right now here I am helping my dad open the mail. Ah, I'll take the toy catalogues and dad can keep all of the bills. Hee hee!

This is the life!

Ah, what a perfect way to start the day. A bottle and some Seasame Street. Hey, don't judge my mom's parenting skills. She's trying to get us all ready to leave for vacation in just a couple of days. And who doesn't love a little Elmo's World?

New Species Identified

Here is a close up picture of the newly identified creature: No-Napasaurus. He resists napping no matter how tired he is. He may rub his eyes, yawn and start to drift off in your arms. But when you put him down to sleep he turns into a screetching wild animal. Very similar, and easily confused with the No-Sleepasaurus. Although the No-Sleepasaurus is noctural and only seen in the wee hours of the morning well before sunrise.

All I want for Easter is my two front teeth... oh wait. I already have those (and then some). I'll have to think of something else.

Continuing the tradition

This morning my mommy and I found some classic Bugs Bunny cartoons (circa 1979) to watch. Mommy tells me that she used to watch these with my Grandpa Chip when she was little.
