Whew! I'm not as big as the gorillas at the zoo. I think that means that they aren't allowed to keep me here.

Those lessons are paying off

Check it out... I swam at home today without my flotation vest just like I do at swim class. And I almost made it across the width of the pool!

Progress report

I got another ribbon at swimming today! A GREEN ribbon. My favorite color! As it turns out I actually earned this ribbon weeks ago, but they ran out of ribbons and forgot about me. My mom and I got things straightened out today.

Here's what my progress report says:

"Robby needs to work on his kick mechanics and build up his endurance a little. His confidence level is good, but he should pay a little more attention in class. I have no doubt that with a little focus, he will progress substantially."

I have a feeling that my parents would agree with the "focus" and "attention" aspect of this assessment.

Marching in the Pet Parade

Yesterday my family and I participated in the 62nd annual Pet Parade here in town. My school had a group going and we had an excellent turn out. I met up with my friend Frankie and we had fun walking in the parade together. After a bit I let Frankie have a turn on my bike and I pushed him.
My parents wouldn't let me bring the cats to the parade so I stashed some stuffed animals in the back of my trike instead.
It was very hot walking in the parade this year. It was fun but maybe next year we'll sit on the curb and watch. We'll see...

How do you measure up?

I certainly am a lucky kid. My mom found me a kid-safe tape measure and I loooove measuring things.

Let's see... this bat weighs 50 pounds. (Robby doesn't have it figured out that the tape measures things in inches or centimeters and he says everything weighs 50lbs.)

Gilroy!!

I had so much fun today with my family at Gilroy Gardens. I loved the rides!

Another cool car ride with dad! And I took my mom an a cool drive too.

Here's my new frog. His name is Billy and I won him in a carnival game!


And I got a huge ice cream cone ALL TO MYSELF! I ate the whole thing.
