Graduation day!

Today was the big day... I graduated from preschool! WAHOO! You know the best thing about graduating?

CAKE before 10am!!

And I might not like my sister all the time, but I do love her and I shared my cake with her.

The Last Day!

Today was my very last day of preschool! This wasn't my very last day at the school because I'll be there for two weeks of camp later this month, but it was my last day of class with my regular classmates and teachers. I had so much fun during my years at Children's House and this year was particularly fun! Think I've changed much since the first of the year? Here's a photo from my first day of school...

An Almost Birthday

My mom did something pretty special for me today. Even though my real birthday isn't for another month, she arranged for my teachers and classmates to celebrate my birthday early. This way I didn't miss out on some special songs and attention from so many nice friends. I got to wear the birthday crown, they sang some songs and we ate (pretend) chocolate cake. I even took a piece of pretend cake to my little sister, but I don't think she understood what was going on.

And then my mom read a book to our class. We gave a copy of "Library Lion" to the school in honor of my birthday. I think my friends liked it when my mom asked the class to roar like a bunch of lions!

It's a hoe-down!

A couple of weeks ago we had the "Hoe-Down" for my school. The teachers had been helping us practicing new songs and some square dancing moves for weeks so it was fun to do our little show for our parents. But first we had to have dinner. A picnic in the park!

I'm somewhere here in the crowd of kids singing "Oh Susannah". Can you find me?

Then it was time to show off our square dancing moves. I think our parents were pretty impressed. There were cameras and camcorders everywhere. Afterwards we got to play in the park. We stayed out extra late and didn't get home until after 8. It was a blast!

Dress up

Just trying on a few things in the dress up trunk. The necktie was not part of the costume. I had been wearing that all day (my favorite accessory these days).

Mommy's Day

Thursday was Mommy's Day at school. We had a special day planned starting off with giving our mom's flowers that we'd painted. We had also spent days making scones, crumpets, muffins, cucumber sandwiches and tea. We know mom's like stuff like that. We also painted portraits of our mom's. Here's my masterpiece.

And then we had time to show our mom's around the school. I showed mom the garden we'd planted, the chicken eggs we are incubating, and all my favorite stuff around school. Then it was time to sings song that we'd learned just for our moms. Here I am blowing her a kiss!

Office Space

My mom thought that I could use a desk in my room. Thankfully we found something really cool at Ikea (the desk was only $19.99!! The chair was more expensive that the desk!). Anyway, I love doing homework in my new office.

Hard at work

I've been asking my mom for days if I'm going to school. Apparently I'm on spring break. Well, I'd really like to get back to school but since I have to wait until next week I'll keep busy by working on some homework on my own. But you can bet I'll still ask my mom "do I go to school today" a few more times."

Packages!

Some packages arrived in the mail today. One for me and one for Carolyn. I asked my mom "which got delivered first? Did mine get delivered first? Because you know, I'm the big brother so my package should have been delivered first."

You know what these packages contained? Among other cool things (like sports themed cookie cutters!) there was CHOCOLATE!!

Carolyn is still young, but she's beginning to catch on to the fact that chocolate is delicious.

But I know a good thing when I see it. I LOVE CHOCOLATE!! Thanks Auntie Terri!

Keepin' my eye on the ball

Feeling better

I'm feeling the best I have all week. I told my mom that I was feeling "double thumbs down" still (you know I get extra tv, extra peanut butter, chocolate milk and no chores when I'm sick) until she said "well you have to keep taking medicine until you feel better." Hmmm. I think I'm feeling double thumbs up again. How about that?

Practical Joker

The other day my Grandma Mary had a dream that I was taller than she was. She told us this just before she arrived in California for a visit. So, I ate an extra helping of vegetables and...

 

LOOK! I'm taller than Grandma! I surprised her when she got to our house late Saturday night.

Play Ball!

 

We didn't see any famous faces at the ball park today, but we did get an awesome tour of the park!

Gone Fishing

 

My mom and dad were nice enough to pick up a fishing pole for me down here in Florida. Yesterday my dad and I headed down to the beach to see if the fish were biting. 

 

Hmmm. I'm not having much luck. I guess the fish aren't too hungry for the bait I'm using (seashells).

From Snow Forts to Sand Castles

 

Building snow forts a couple of weeks ago was fun, but sand castles are pretty awesome too!

On vacation

 

Been pretty busy here on vacation. My mom and I have had some great luck collecting cool shells and other things on the beach. Let's see how many of my treasures we can tote home.

Mom hasn't gotten too many photos of me the past few days because I've been busy playing with my cousin Catherine. She and her dad decided spur of the moment to join us in Florida for a few days of fun. We've been on bike rides, been swimming, done crafts, fed turtles. All around we've had a BLAST! Too bad Catherine has to go home tomorrow. Well, it was fun while it lasted.
