Pearly Whites

TGIF right folks? I can't wait for this week to be over. Not only did I have to deal with all of that travel, but I have new teeth that are hurting like crazy! Yes, we've all been a little cranky here in the Emens household. I agree with my mom that the sooner these suckers come in the better.

Vacation Highlights

We are back from our trip to California. We had a great time, but unfortunately now I know why they call the flight home a "red eye." Let's never do that again!

Anyway, here are some pictures from our week on the west coast. Here I am hanging out with my dad. We visited Aunt Nancy and had lunch at a cool place in Half Moon Bay. Nice view, huh?Eenie, Meenie, Miney... WHISKEY!! My parents didn't bring many toys on our trip so I played with the key to the mini-bar. Don't worry, they didn't let me drink anything - too expensive.
Finally I got a chance to run around at a local park/playground. A boy needs his exercise.
Ah, and after a long day at the park a little boy needs a nice soak in the jacuzzi tub!

Out of Office

I am currently out of the office. We are away on a business trip with dad and forgot to bring the card reader for the camera. My apologies, but no photos will be posted until we return. Thank you for your patience.

Pumpkin Prep

This past weekend we carved and decorated these pumpkins that we picked out a couple of weeks ago... here is my mom trying to convince me to play with the pumpkin "guts." No way! That stuff is gross and slimy!

I'm much happier with the finger paint approach to this decorating business.

It was my mom and dad's job to do the real work with carving the big pumpkin.

I'm too young to use any sharp instruments. But here I am helping with the finishing touch... the top of the pumpkin. And TA DA!!

Firehouse Field Trip

Today my friends and I were lucky enough to go to the Brookline Fire Station to meet the cool firemen and play on the firetruck. Here are some pictures. Uh, no mom. I'm not breaking anything important. And no, that wasn't me who just turned on the siren.

Hmmm, all these fun nobs to pull and buttons to push...
And finally I got a chance to sit at the wheel. HONK HONK! Out of the way! I think there is a three-alarm sale at the toy store!

In Training

Dad, do you think they will have the sport "monkey toss" included in the next Olympics? Would that be a winter or a summer sport? Well, let's keep up with our rigorous training schedule just in case. And a one, and a two...and a three.... wheeee....
Ha ha ha!! That was a pretty good one!
Mom gives us an 8 on form and a 7 on distance and height. We can do better than that!

Here is another example of all of the cool things to play with at grandma's house. Look at this seemingly endless supply of cat food cans. Can you believe they could be so much fun?

Yeah, it does work better if I stand up...wait a minute this is getting a little wobbly. Darn it. Time to start all over again.

Piano Man

While in Michigan I went to visit my great-grandparents for the afternoon. I had so much fun at their house, but the best part was getting to jam on the piano!! Mom, sign me up for some lessons please.

Tiger Tot

Well, since the Sox blew it, I've been told that I can root for the Michigan hometown team. My dad even agrees... especially since the Tigers beat the Yankees on the road to the World Series.

Chilly Weather

So, it snowed off an on all day yesterday. For those of you wondering - NO I did not ask for this kooky weather. I'm not even sure that I want to go out and play in this cold stuff. But I'm sure my mom will make me play in the snow in hopes of getting some good photos for this blog.

Hello Michigan

Yesterday mom and I flew to Michigan. We had a nice flight and I was REALLY good for most of the flight. I couldn't help getting at least a little fidgety.

Here I am at the airport. I was a big help since I pushed my own stuff around!

Ah, there it is!

And can you believe it? We woke up to SNOW this morning! This really is the Great North Woods.

Dear Mom and Dad,

I'm so happy that you two met, fell in love and got married. Otherwise, where would I be? Probably with two people who wouldn't be half as cool as you two.... oh yeah, if it weren't for you guys I wouldn't be here at all.

Tee it up

Dad gave me a little golf lesson the other day now that I have my very own clubs!! I'm still working on the finer points of this game. And dad I have a question for you, is it still bad etiquette to throw your clubs even if they are plastic? It is? Oh okay, I'll keep that in mind for next time.

Okay mom and dad, I'm ready to find that perfect pumpkin! Think it will fit in this basket? I'll try to carry it, but dad I might ask you to carry it for me. I might pick a pretty big one.

Still looking for the perfect one... it's got to be here somewhere... this isn't a game of hide and seek is it?
Those flowers are nice, but not what I'm looking for. Mom, do you know where I can find a good pumkin to carve?
