Anticipation

I can't wait for it to be warm enough to go swimming in the pool again. But mom told me that the temperature of the water is only about 62 degrees... that seems a little on the chilly side to me.
Meanwhile, I'm happy to be hanging out in the backyard blowing bubbles while we have some warm weather. Being able to wear shorts in March is a good thing!

Hippity Hoppity

Jellybeans, chocolate and colorful eggs hidden around the backyard? That's cool with me!

Schedule out of whack

I don't know what's up. I've been ready for my naps way ahead of schedule these days. Who cares about lunch when a little boy is so tired.

Kite Flying

Yesterday my friend Kam and I had a ton of fun at the park flying kites. This was my first time flying a kite and I have to say that I caught on pretty quick. I needed a little help from dad, but not much.


Ah, yes, these sunglasses make it so much easier to see... And then look cool too.

Creative Differences

My mom and I were reviewing some photos on the computer today and she showed me some editing options. I liked the sepia toned effect, but mom prefers color or black and white photos.

Yesterday Mom decided she needed a little break, which meant I got to watch a couple of episodes of Thomas. I'll just chill here for a bit.

Spring Cleaning

We've had a couple of sunny days around here so it's time to clean up and get ready to play outside!

King of the Jungle

I went to my friend Frankie's birthday party this past weekend. It was held at a really cool kid's place call the Jungle. It was a BLAST! Pizza, cake, ball pits, mazes, rides, does the fun ever end? Needless to say, a good time was had by all.

Lunch delivered to the room and a king sized bed all to myself? I could get used to this!

Another favorite

My parents told me something about this treat found in Kauai called "shave ice." Let's see what all of the hype is about...

It doesn't look like any ice cream I've seen before, but I'm willing to give it a try.
Hmm, is it a snow cone or what?
Let me have a taste and give my official toddler review.
Hmmm. Very interesting. I see, there is shaved ice on the top with different flavored syrup. And ice cream on the bottom. A very creative creation. Yes! I like it! More please.

All Aboard!

If you ask me, one of the best things about our vacation was that there is a train on the island of Kauai. Yes, folks A TRAIN! I think you have an idea that I'm a little obsessed these days.

We can't get this picture to work right, but here I am next to the engine. So cool!
And since I was the first and only kid there, I got a chance to blow the whistle a couple of time. The first time the whistle blew it made me jump, but then I got the hang of things.
Here I am again (sideways - sorry) with my very own ticket to be punched for the train ride. I've been carrying this around with me every since. And I even take the ticket to bed with me.
Halfway through the train ride we got off to feed some of the animals that live on the plantation. There were sheep, goats and a bunch of baby piglets. It was fun and a little scary at the same time. Are you sure this goat won't nibble off my fingers?

Don't be Koi

Another cool thing about this vacation is that each morning we got the chance to help feed the fish in the pond. 9am sharp they were waiting for their breakfast!


My mom asked and found out that there are maybe 1000 fish in the pond. Wow, that's a lot! They went crazy for their food and it was so fun to watch.

Poipu State Beach

I hear that years ago this beach and area of ocean was much more kid friendly. It was essentially a large tide pool protected from big waves and it had tons of fish. After a few rough winters things are a little more dicey and I can't swim much here. Let me see if I can replace some of the sand and make this water a little more shallow...

Go Pats! (Hawaii edition)

My parents made sure that I was adequately prepared and packed my Tom Brady jersey for our trip. And don't worry, we didn't waste too much time watching the game. Since the game was Sunday, our first full day on the island, I took a nap early through part of the game.
During halftime we stepped out to grab a bite for lunch. And then for the second half of the game mommy and I went swimming and dad watched the game from the pool bar. And now, on to the Superbowl!!

And after all of that excitement I needed another nap - this time poolside. It takes a lot of energy to be on vacation.

Oops. Watch that undertoe.

This surf is wild! I was only up to it in my ankles and I fell down. And what do my parents do? Point, laugh and take pictures. Thanks a lot.

Hey, I'm tough. I can take it. Just get these wet clothes off of me please.
