Buddies

My little buddy Jack came over to play yesterday. I like Jack so much that I even gave him some of my toys. We had a blast! And I overheard a prediction that we might be quite the troublesome twosome when we are older.
And we both enjoyed playing with this old Mac. It's in our genes.

Fall Festival

Today we had our Fall Festival at school. All of the kids wore these fun sunflower hats and we sang a few songs for our mommies. Hey... where is my mom?

Ahh. There she is! I was very happy to see mom and Carolyn.


And we had a delicious snack of cornbread, butter and apple juice. Do you want to hear something really cool? We made the butter ourselves. One of our activities last week was to shake cream until it turned into butter. It took LOTS of muscles to do that. And boy was it tasty!!

Races

My mommy and I were talking about this thing called the Presidential Election yesterday. I'm still kind of confused. After our discussion I can give you my take on things in my own words.

John McCain got lost? Obama found him? He ran really really fast and got lots of money?

If you think politics are confusing and boring for adults, just imagine how it is for us kids.

Trick or treat

Dressing up in fun costumes just to get candy? Carving up vegetables with sharp knives? I'm finally getting the feeling that this holiday is pretty darn cool!!

The Windy City

My family and I went to Chicago and let me tell you that there are some really cool things in this town. My mom and dad took me to the Museum of Science and Industry. There was no end to the cool things in this place.

There was a gigantic model train set. They had a whole model of the city of Chicago. There were too many trains to count!
I also go to play astronaut for a few minutes. I'm still trying to figure out what outer space is all about.
And my dad and I got to simulate controlling a submarine. That was a fun ride!

And they museum also had multiple full sized trains. Very cool! What more could a little boy ask for? Thank mom and dad. I had a great day!

Made from scratch

Today we did something really cool. My mom and I made ice cream! She had a whole book of recipes to choose from so we chose Mint Oreo ice cream. Did you know that you can put cookies or candy in ice cream? I got to help whisk up the ingredients, but most importantly I acted as an official taste tester. Deeeeelicious!

Devastatingly Handsome

We had Robby try on his tux last night for Whitney's wedding. Needless to say, he thinks that he looks pretty cool! The top hat is for the Halloween part of his costume - he may or may not wear it for the actual wedding. That's up to the bride and groom.

Annie's not always a big fan of little kids, but with a toy in hand she thinks I'm at least a little entertaining.

Would you like a tour?

Good afternoon and welcome to the Robert G. Emens Train Museum of Northern California. You may take photographs, but please no food or drink while on the tour.
On the tour you will see the many sheds and bridges built for the trains on the Island of Sodor. This is a hands-on museum, but please refrain from knocking anything over. My baby sister kicked over a shed earlier and that was really annoying. I put a lot of hard work into the development of each project. For example, here is Henry's shed. This took me at least 5 minutes to build. I used to have my mom and dad help me, but now this is all my own handiwork.

I hope that you enjoyed the tour. Now it's time to work on the next exhibit.

Say AHHHHH!

I had a check up at the doctor today. Just for the record I'm doing excellent. I weigh 34 1/2 lbs and am 37 1/2 inches tall!

I didn't get any shots today because I have a cough. I hear that I have to go along at Carolyn's next appointment and get the shots then. Drats!

Go PATS!

Yesterday was a very special occasion. My dad and I went to go see the New England Patriots beat the 49's!
We had a blast at the game. The seats were far from the field, but we still had an excellent time.
We went to the game with some old friends and some new friends. Here I am with Kam and Chris.

Rite of passage

My parents took me on a special errand today. We went to go buy my first suit today. It is a tux to be exact. These photos don't do me justice, but believe me when I tell you that I'm going to be one snappy dresser for Aunt Whit's wedding!

Handyman

Mom said something about being impressed with my fine motor skills. I just know that I wanted to help put together furniture. It was fun to work with tools!

Giving it a try

I'm trying really hard to be good for my mom this week. I slip sometimes, but what can you expect from a rambunctious kid like me.

Peek-a-Boo, I can't see you!

I know this hasn't been updated in awhile, but no worries. I don't feel ignored. We've all been super busy. I've been going to school a lot and my free time I've had many friends come over and play.

I love my new house. There are many things I like about living here. I like the upstairs living room (which is currently empty and a great place to run around). I also like the carpeted living room downstairs where I have a bunch of toys. I like that the house has stairs... carpeted stairs.
My favorite this is that the house is big, big, big, big! (that's a direct quote)

First day of school

Today is the start of a new year of school. I'm in the 3's class which offers so much more fun stuff to do. I'm in the Green group which is perfect since green is my favorite color. Each day I'll get plenty of free "exploration" and "discovery" time but I'll also get short lessons in science, math, phys. ed, language and "practical life skills." Sounds like a lot of fun!
